Hello. I’m Lori, a food photographer and recipe developer based in the Detroit area. I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and worked in advertising after college, but eventually realized that career wasn’t the right fit for me. The best part of each day was going home, making dinner, and snapping photos of it. My passions were truly cooking and photography – two industries where you never stop learning.
The decision to change paths and go to culinary school was the best choice I ever made. While spending early mornings learning from some of the best chefs in the country, I also worked part time at a publishing company. This position advanced my recipe development and testing skills, as well as opened my eyes to the world of food photography and styling.
Shortly after graduating culinary school in 2012, I started my blog Foxes Love Lemons to share simple, yet special, recipes for the “home chef” in all of us. I love finding new and creative ways to use my camera to demonstrate how delicious each recipe really is. My recipes and photography have been featured on websites such as ABC News, Bon Appetit, Food52, Parade and Redbook.
